Yes, you have to get it developed, then it can go straight into the projector.
Here's where I get my film developed:
Dwayne's Photo
1-800-522-3940
$9.00 per roll, plus $3 S&H
There aren't a whole lot of places that process Kodachrome film anymore, but if you go to Kodak's website www.kodak.com
and look under their motion picture imaging and super 8 departments they have a list of places for processing.

Im going to post another thread about this but here is the absolute cheapest way, and probably the fastest way to.
If you buy kodachrome 40 film, (around 8 to 9 dollars a roll with a student i.d.) and you take it to WALMART, drop it off in there drop off stand, and write down in the special instructions "movie film cartridge) the film will come back no later than two weeks, at the price of 4.88 a roll.
I just got back two rolls from them, I dropped them off a different times, and one came back in 6 days, the other in 4 days!
Best thing was, it only cost me 3.88 for my last roll. I think thats a bargin, and the quality is very nice!
